Happy Snapper Polar Plunge

Tomahawk Residents will be exchanging their snowsuits for swimsuits this weekend.

The Happy Snapper located on Lake Mohawksin will be hosting their annual Polar Plunge on Sunday. Many people will be braving the icy waters for a good cause.

Individual and team jumpers have been busy collecting pledges for their favorite charities. Last year the event raised more than $12,000 and they could raise even more this year with a record number of jumpers expected to participate.

This is the seventh year that they will be holding the event. In that time they have raised over $60,000 that has gone to charity.

Registration begins at 11:00 on Sunday. They hope to begin jumping at around 1:30. The public is welcome to attend the plunge and cheer on the participants.
