Tomahawk teenager charged with murder

A Tomahawk teenager has been charged with the murder of a convenience store clerk.
On Friday, May 16 18-year-old Derek Domke was charged with first-degree intentional homicide and armed robbery in the March 22 slaying of 25 year old Rochelle Anderson of Irma.
Anderson’s body was found by a Tomahawk Police Officer behind Zephyr Fuel Convenience store where she worked as a clerk. She had been brutally beaten and stabbed seven times.
According to court documents, Derek Domke’s palm print was found on a sink in the bloody bathroom at Zephyr Fuel. A mop with blood on it was found just outside the store. Cash, a computer and four packs of cigarettes were reportedly stolen. He lived just across the street from the murder scene on East Prospect Avenue.
On Friday, Lincoln County Court Commissioner Wright Laufenberg ordered bond set at one million dollars cash, twice the amount requested by the Lincoln County District Attorney’s Office.
Domke is currently is jail, while his classmates at Tomahawk High School prepare for graduation on Saturday.
