Two accidents in Forest County

Two separate accidents early
yesterday morning in a small Forest County town left one dead and one in
serious condition.
Both crashes occurred in the Town of
Nashville in Western Forest County. The first occurred at just before 1:00am,
when deputies received a report of a vehicle that left the road way and struck
several trees on South Shore Drive. One person in the vehicle was killed, while
another was arrested. Authorities have not released additional information.
A second crash was
reported shortly after 6 am. on Highway 55 also in the
town of Nashville where a motorist allegedly hit a pedestrian and left the
scene, according to the news release. The pedestrian was taken to an area
hospital and was in serious condition, police said. One person was arrested in
connection with the incident, but authorities have not released additional
details.
