Tomahawk man sentenced to prison
William J. Gauthier, 51, of Tomahawk, was sentenced on Monday, November 16 to four and a half years in prison for manufacture/delivery of cocaine. Gauthier will serve 30 months in prison, followed by 24 months of extended supervision. He was also sentenced to four years in prison, 24 months confinement and 24 months supervision, on a charge of possessing marijuana with intent to deliver. That sentence will be served concurrently with the cocaine charge.
Gauthier was
arrested in November of 2007 after selling approximately one pound of marijuana
and one ounce of cocaine to a confidential informant at his South Sixth Street
residence. Officers obtained a
search warrant and found another approximately seven pounds of marijuana in his
residence.
