Authorities recover components of clandestine meth lab
On Monday, November 30, the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department along
with agents from the Wisconsin Department of Criminal Investigation conducted a
search warrant on a rural property in the township of Birch. Recovered in the search warrant were
the components of a clandestine methamphetamine laboratory.
The search warrant was the result of the investigation
following a traffic stop early Saturday morning. During that stop, deputies discovered waste from the
manufacturing of methamphetamine and components for multiple methamphetamine
laboratories in the cargo area of the vehicle.
In all, components from four clandestine meth labs were seized. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
