Man arrested following Wausau hold-up
Wednesday, January 11, 2012
A man was arrested in Wausau within an hour of
robbing a credit union yesterday afternoon.
David Samuelson allegedly entered the Tower
Credit Union on Bridge Street, showed a hand gun, then demanded money,
according to police. The incident happened just after 1:30.
An employee followed him out while calling police informing
them of the direction the suspect was going. He was found near the Wisconsin
River changing his clothes where he was arrested without incident. They found a
jacket, vest, glove and t-shirt that the robber was wearing.
Police are still searching for a getaway car and also the gun
used. Detectives wonder whether Samuelson actually got away with any money. The
credit union closed its lobby after the hold up.
