Four arrested in
Holiday Station armed robbery

On Thursday the Merrill Police Department, acting on
a Crime Stopper’s tip and information received by investigators at the Antigo
Police Department, arrested four individuals for their involvement in the armed
robbery of the Holiday gas station committed on December 12, 2009. Investigators were told that money
taken during the robbery had been used to purchase marijuana and ecstasy and
that these drugs were now being sold out of a Merrill residence.
Officers of the Merrill Police Department and the
Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department executed a search warrant at a Merrill
residence located on the east side.
Evidence of the robbery was found as well as drugs during the search
warrant.
Also on Thursday, a second search warrant was
executed at a second Merrill residence.
Clothing worn by the suspects during the robbery was located at this
residence. As a result of the
search, the Merrill Police Department has two 21 year olds with a Chicago
address, a 25 year old with a Merrill address, as well as a 19-year-old female
in custody for their involvement in the robbery.
Additional arrests are expected. Persons in custody are expected to
appear in Lincoln County Circuit Court on Monday, December 21, 2009.
