Strong armed robbery suspect arrested

On Wednesday, December 16 at 11:30 pm, the Merrill Police Department arrested Kevin L. Shaw, 48; at 1421 ½ East Main Street in the City of Merrill for armed robbery, battery and criminal damage to property.

The Merrill Police Department responded to a residence located in the City of Merrill where they located a 35-year-old male who had been beaten. Officers learned that the victim was beaten with a wooden cane and punched by the suspect Shaw. The victim was ordered to empty his pockets and Shaw took chase and other property from the victim. Shaw was later located and arrested.
