Manson Insurance must pay victims

Thursday, January 12, 2012

Former officers from Manson Insurance in Wausau must pay victims, following a federal court ruling this week.

That court ruled that David Scholfield and Susan Brockman must pay $5.2 million dollars following a scam including forging customer signatures on loans to finance phony insurance premiums, embezzling credits from insurance companies and fraudulently billing customers.

Scholfield, the former CEO of the company had previously been sentenced to 5 years in prison and Brockman, the former company treasurer was sentenced to 6 months in December. Both agreed to the amount of restitution.
