Wausau robbery suspect in court

Friday, January 13, 2012

The man accused of robbing a credit union in Wausau has now been formally charged.

David Samuelson of Green Bay appeared in Marathon County Court yesterday where the judge ordered a $250,000 cash bond. If he is released, Samuelson can't have contact with the credit union.

According to court records, he entered Tower Credit Union, showed a gun, and demanded money. When the teller hesitated, he moved to the next window. Witnesses say he shouted at employees and at one time pointed the gun at the operations manager. Officers found Samuelson hiding behind trees near the Wisconsin River. He had $20 in cash when they search him.

His next scheduled court appearance will be on February 29th for a preliminary hearing.
