Tomahawk Police Department reports

On Thursday evening a 17 year old went into the ditch south
of A on Highway 51. The operator was not injured in the crash. The driver said
another vehicle had bumped him off the road. An inspection revealed black paint
transferred onto the vehicle. Tomahawk police advised area Sheriff offices of
the suspected vehicle.
Friday morning at just before 10:00 Tomahawk Police responded
to a 2 vehicle crash on South Tomahawk Avenue and Mary Street. A Greenfield man
was taken into custody for Operating while intoxicated causing injury as a
result of the crash.
Over the weekend a woman reported applying for a personal
assistant position in the Wausau area via an advertisement on Craigslist. The
woman said that since then she has been receiving bogus checks. Police advised
her to destroy the checks and block any related incoming emails.
On Saturday a man reported several illegal signs at the
Putnam and Roosevelt entrances to Bradley Park. He also said there were logs
across the trails and was concerned about anyone that may be traveling through
there while it was dark. An officer removed 2 logs from the trail. Parks
department employees were contacted regarding the signs which were put up
without permission. An officer removed the signs.
