Daytime burglaries in
Lincoln County

The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department is seeking
information on several daytime burglaries that have taken place in the last two
days.
On Monday, January 18, residents on or near County
Road Y north of Tomahawk came home to find their homes had been entered by
force and ransacked. It appears
the thieves were looking for cash and jewelry.
On Tuesday, a resident just outside Irma came home to
find a similar crime had taken place.
In total, five such burglaries have been reported as
of Tuesday evening.
Anyone who saw and suspicious activity in these areas
the last two days, or if you have information on the crimes, you are asked to
call the sheriff’s department at 453-5757, or 536-6272. Tips may also be phoned into Crime
Stoppers at 536-3726. Callers can
remain anonymous and may qualify for a cash reward.
Residents are also asked to be extra vigilant. If you see any strange activity in your
neighborhood, call the sheriff’s office to report it.
