Wisconsin man charged in snowmobile death

A man accused of hitting and killing a snowmobiler in Price County has been charged with a felony.

A criminal complaint filed Tuesday charged 26 year old Joseph Weiher of Park Falls with homicide by negligent operation of a vehicle.

The Department of Natural Resources says Weiher is accused of striking 27 year old Samuel Klein of Park Falls after he fell off a snowmobile in front of Weiher’s sled on Pike Lake. The DNR says speed and alcohol were factors.
