New Director of Pupil
Services and Special Education
Wednesday, February 10, 2010
The
School District of Tomahawk announces the naming of Tomahawk Middle School
Principal Mitch Hamm as the District’s new Director of Pupil Services and
Special Education. Mr. Hamm has 12
years of administrative experience as both a high school and middle school
principal in the Washburn School District and here in Tomahawk. His experiences in working with Special
Education programs at the building level, as well as his experiences with AODA
program development, At-Risk youth, and a passionate focus on the whole child
leave him well prepared to lead the district toward excellence in this new
position. Mr. Hamm will assume his
new responsibilities on July 1st.
A
search for a new Middle School Principal will begin within the next week, with
the goal of interviewing candidates in mid-March and bringing the top candidate
to the School Board for consideration and approval at its April meeting.
