Antigo Principal / Football Coach to appear in court

Monday, January 23, 2012

An Antigo principal and football coach will appear in Langlade County Court today.

John Lund was charged on Friday with four counts of manufacturing or delivery of marijuana and three counts of possession with intent to deliver. The 47 year old was an elementary principal in the Antigo School District as well as the Antigo High School Head football coach.

Police said that Lund had been under investigation since August for distributing drugs. In November he admitted selling drugs to friends and was placed on administrative leave. Following his arrest, the Antigo School district released a statement saying his status is under review, and they are committed to providing a safe environment for students.

Bradley Maahs and Scot Peterson were also charged in connection. Lund is scheduled to appear in court this afternoon. He could face 3 and a half years in prison on each count.
