Representative Friske will not seek re-election

Merrill State Representative Don Friske will not run for re-election this year. The five-term Republican plans to spend more time with his family and running his family owned business. Friske owns a CarQuest Auto Parts franchise in Merrill and Tomahawk.

Friske will serve out the rest of his term. He cited several accomplishments during his legislative career, including bringing back the Legislature’s forestry committee and leading a bipartisan panel to study how the state prepares its budget and spend taxes.
