September monthly Tomahawk Police report
Thursday, October 6, 2011
Tomahawk Police Chief Don Johnson has
issued his September 2011 monthly report.
During the month, officers responded to 321 complaints or
calls, with the most frequent being citizen assists, suspicious activity,
driving complaints and disorderly conduct. They issued 28 traffic citations, 6
ordinance citations and referred 6 cases to the district attorney.
On September 1 the department returned to full 24 hour
coverage.
The department received new service weapons to replace their
current, 15 year old weapons. They were purchased using drug forfeiture funds
and a trade-in allowance on the old weapons. They will be issued this month as
officers complete their firearms training.
