Seidel expected to announce State Senate Candidacy

Another democratic candidate is expected to announce intentions to run for Pam Galloway's senate seat should she be recalled.

Representative Donna Seidel scheduled a news conference for 10:00am tomorrow at UW-Marathon County. The conference has a "special announcement regarding state Senate recall elections."

Seidel has been in the state Assembly since 2004.

Recall supporters turned in over 21,000 signatures to recall Galloway who is serving her first term as a state senator. The government accountability board is now verifying the signatures and just over 15,000 valid signatures are needed to trigger the recall.

Jeff Johnson, the former Democratic party chair from Marathon County, has also announced he intends to run in the race should there be one.
