Tomahawk Food Pantry open house

The Tomahawk Emergency Food Pantry will be holding an open house tomorrow.

The event allows those interested to see how the Food Pantry serves the community.  They will also have refreshments and entertainment by the New Orleans Hot House Jazz Band.

Last year the volunteers distributed over 25,000 meals. They typically serve around 100 people each month.

This year usage is up 10% yet donations are down 13%.

The admission to tomorrow's open house will be a voluntary food donation. The Open House will take place at the Food Pantry located at the United Methodist Church tomorrow from 2:00 until 6:00pm.

The general hours of the food pantry are Wednesdays 1-3 and Fridays 11 to 12:30.
