Tomahawk Police Department reports

Tomahawk police arrested a 17 year old male on charges including
burglary and operating a vehicle without the owner's consent.
Officers responded to a call of a male near a downtown business,
trying to hot wire a vehicle. After running the plates, it was discovered they
did not match the vehicles. The 17 year old male said he was living above the
business and was doing work on a friend's vehicle.
The officer became suspicious and ran the VIN number. The owner
was contacted and said he had just discovered his vehicle was missing and was
about to contact police. They found the many items in the car were stolen, and
they also searched the apartment above the business and found additional items
including mp3 players, stereos, guns, money, cell phones and more.
Items were taken from cars on Charles Avenue, and the license
plates were taken from a woman on Charlotte St.
The male was taken into custody on burglary, operating a vehicle
without consent, criminal damage to property, theft, possession of stolen
property, possession of THC with intent to deliver, and 2 counts of bail
jumping. He was transferred to the Lincoln County Jail.

An officer located a 24 year old male walking in the 10 block of
East Somo Ave. He had an apprehension request from probation and parole. After
conformation of the request, he was taken in and transported to the Lincoln
County Jail.
On Saturday a man requested an officer to document an attempted
break in on South Tomahawk Avenue. An officer found the screen on a window was
pried. It was not believed entry was gained.
A 22 year old female reported that a 25 year old male was verbally
and emotionally abusing her. The suspect was also not allowing the woman to
leave the residence. An officer arrived and separated the parties. The suspect
contacted a friend in Merrill where he would stay for the time. An officer
stood by until he was picked up by the friend.
An officer was dispatched to a residence where a man was reported
to be trying to harm himself with sleeping pills. An officer cleared the scene
for EMS. He was taken into protective custody and transported to the hospital,
where he was cleared and taken to the Marathon County Health Care Center.
A 26 year old man said he was struck by a red truck near North
Fourth Street. The victim said he did not require medical attention as he only
suffered scratches. He said he approached the vehicle which took off when he
mentioned the police. He described the driver as either bald or with short
hair, mid 40's, with a beer belly. The victim took a photo with his phone of
the rear of the truck.
A reporting party said that three ATV's were heading towards the
bridge and racing. Officers located them at an area gas station. They said they
were not racing and said they were unfamiliar with the roads they could use
ATV's on. The officer provided them a map and gave them a warning for not
operating on approved ATV trails or routes. One was also warned for non
registration.
