Hartley to step down as judge

There will
be a new judge sitting on the bench in Lincoln County this summer.
Glenn
Hartley, who has served as a judge since 1999, confirmed that he will be
stepping down. His final day will be on June 10th.
Hartley
previously practice law in Merrill for 25 years before being elected to the
judge seat. His most recent race was last April where he was elected for a six
year term.
He said
that he wanted to do other things important to him.
The
governor’s office will seek applicants for the position and would then appoint
someone later this year.
