Hartley to step down as judge

Wednesday, March 7, 2012

There will be a new judge sitting on the bench in Lincoln County this summer.

Glenn Hartley, who has served as a judge since 1999, confirmed that he will be stepping down. His final day will be on June 10th.

Hartley previously practice law in Merrill for 25 years before being elected to the judge seat. His most recent race was last April where he was elected for a six year term.

He said that he wanted to do other things important to him.

The governor’s office will seek applicants for the position and would then appoint someone later this year.
