A 32 year old Merrill Man was arrested last Monday in the
Town of Merrill. Deputies were responding to a disturbance called in. The
report said the intoxicated man had been dropped off and was causing a
disturbance. The man was arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct and for
probation violation. He was brought to the jail where he remained last night.
Two men were arrested following a traffic stop Thursday in
Merrill. A cell caller said a vehicle on State Rd. 64 was all over the road
way. The 43 year old Wausau man driving was placed through field sobriety tests
and arrested for a felony 5th operating while intoxicated. His 20 year old
passenger was cited for underage drinking and for having open intoxicants. Both
men were transported to the Lincoln County Jail where they remained last night.
Sheriff Deputies aided with a fire in the town of Schley
Friday afternoon. Crews were on the scene for over 3 hours to control the
blaze. County Rd. C needed to be closed during tanker shuttle operations. The
cause of the fire is unknown and the investigation will continue.
A 31 year old Irma Man was arrested early Sunday morning. The
deputy stopped to check on a man walking down US Highway 51 near County Rd. J.
The deputy was patrolling at approximately 1:00am when he saw the man walking
in the median. The man had been drinking, which was in violation of his
probation rules. He was brought to the Lincoln County Jail.
Two people reported striking deer this week, both over the weekend.
