A 33 year old Tomahawk Man was arrested Monday afternoon on a warrant charge. A deputy stopped a vehicle in which the man was a passenger on Highway 51 near Merrill. A check showed he was wanted for violating terms of his probation. He was brought to the Lincoln County Jail and held.

A 48 year old Tomahawk man was arrested Tuesday night on a criminal traffic charge. At around 9:15 a deputy was traveling on County S when both he and the vehicle in front of him had to swerve to avoid being struck by a vehicle traveling south in the northbound lane. The man continued driving in the wrong lane after he passed. The deputy stopped the man and he was taken into custody after a field sobriety test. He was brought to the Lincoln County jail on his third offense of operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated.

A 26 year old Merrill women was arrested Friday on bail jumping charges. Deputies went to her home in Town Pine River and took her into custody. Deputies obtained information she was in violation of her felony bail bonds which required her to have a curfew. A video surveillance system at a Merrill Convenience store showed her buying lottery tickets during her curfew hours. She was booked on 3 felony and 2 misdemeanor counts of bail jumping. She will have a bond hearing today.

A 29 year old Merrill man was arrested Saturday for violating terms of his probation. A deputy stopped a vehicle traveling on State Rd. 86 in the town of Bradley at around 5:30. The deputy observed it being driven in a disorderly manner. The man was drinking in violation with probation rules and also had a rifle in the vehicle. He was brought to the Lincoln County Jail and held.

The Town of Crescent Fire Department along with deputies responded to a grass fire yesterday afternoon in the town of Harrison. A 911 call reported a power line had come down in the wind and started the fire on State Rd. 17 near Cinder Rd at just before 6. Crescent firefighters were able to bring the fire under control.

18 people struck deer this past week and a bear was struck Wednesday evening on US 8 near Honey Rd in the Town of Wilson.
