Merrill School Board picks five interim candidates
Thursday, August 11, 2011
The Merrill
School Board picked 5 candidates to interview for their interim superintendent
position.
The decision came at a special
meeting yesterday afternoon. One of the candidates is Bruce Anderson, a
co-assistant superintendent from Merrill Area Public Schools. The other 4
candidates, from around the state, are all either retired or nearing
retirement. The five will be interviewed Tuesday and the board hopes to make a
decision on the interim superintendent shortly after the interviews.
The board decided Tuesday night that
they would take proposals to conduct a professional search seeking a permanent
replacement for Lisa Snyder who recently left to
another district.
