Just freed Wausau man leads police on chase

A Wausau man that had only been out of jail a few hours led police on a chase.

Joshua Diaz had been released from jail earlier in the day on Monday. Police say they pulled him over and he sped off when the officer began walking towards his vehicle. He crashed his car into a curb and an officer caught him after a foot chase.

He was accused of driving drunk for the fourth time, leading police on a chase and trying to tackle an officer.

He was jailed yesterday on a $50,000 cash bond pending a preliminary hearing.
