NATH receives $20k from anonymous donor

The Northwoods Alliance for Temporary Housing has received a significant donation to be used at Frederick Place.

The donor, who wishes to remain anonymous, gave a gift of $20,000.00. After a visit to Frederick place, the individual was inspired by the mission and vision to serve those in need of emergency housing.

Tammy Modic, Executive Director says "We hope that this wonderful example of supporting local programs for those in need will inspire other individuals, businesses and organizations."

The annual operating costs for the shelter are projected to be around $200,000 each year.

NATH says that while most don't have the resources to contribute that size of monetary donation, those interested can still help. Other options include providing an evening meal for residents, donating a small monthly amount, volunteering at the shelter and driving residents to appointments, or getting items from the "wish list."
