Daughter sentenced in heroin case

Wednesday, September 28, 2011

A Lincoln County woman accused of selling heroin with her mother was sentenced yesterday.

Kayleigh Maki, 25, had pled no contest to a charge of possession with intent to deliver heroin. She was sentenced to 9 months in the Lincoln County jail and then 5 years of probation. The terms of probation include maintaining a full-time job, court costs and no alcohol, firearms or prescription drugs without a doctor's consent. She would be sent to prison for 4 years if she violates probation.

Maki was arrested along with her mother, Jennifer Roper, in a February drug bust near Merrill. Roper will appear in court again October 6.
