Defendant names third
party in Tomahawk homicide
Friday, September 26, 2008
A teenager accused of
killing a convenience store clerk is pointing the finger at someone else.
Derek Domke, 18, was in
Lincoln County Circuit Court on Thursday and named a third party as being
involved in the March 22 murder of 25-year-old Rochelle Anderson. Anderson was founded beaten and stabbed
to death outside of the Zephyr Fuel convenience store on North Fourth Street in
Tomahawk.
The genetic material of the
man named by Domke is being checked by the Wisconsin State Crime Lab to see if
it matches DNA mixtures found at the murder scene.
But the judge said the man’s
finger and palm prints don’t need to be compared, because the prints found in
blood in a bathroom at the scene have been matched to Domke.
Domke’s trial is scheduled
for October, with jury selection to start October 14.
