Two men in Oneida County Court; trials
scheduled
Friday, September 16, 2011
Two separate men in Oneida County had
their trials scheduled for later this year.
Fifty-two year old Michael Schanus,
the Minnesota man accused of firing gunshots and causing a disturbance pleaded
not guilty to a disorderly conduct charge.
Deputies say the night of August 18th Schanus
was yelling profanities and shooting a gun. A criminal complaint says Schanus denies owning, possessing or discharging a firearm
and he hasn't done so "in years."
Schanus, who refused to have a lawyer, is out of jail
on a one-thousand-dollar signature bond.
His jury trial is scheduled for October 31st at 8:30 in the
morning.
Jeremy Fadoul the former leader of
Campfire USA had his jury trial scheduled for December.
He is accused of secretly videotaping young girls using the
shower and also taking camp funds from their bank account. He is charged with
felony theft from a business setting recording nudity without consent.
Fadoul had been executive director of the
camping program for the last three years. He was removed from that position
earlier this year.
