The Tomahawk School District is offering a free Agility Camp this summer at the High School. The camp will focus on 6th through 12th graders improving their foot speed, agility, mental toughness, quickness, and strength. Anyone looking to improve their athletic ability or to lead a healthier lifestyle can sign up in the High School. The camp will be held on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays and there are 4 sessions each day that students can sign up for. Session 1 is from 6:30 – 8:00 am, session 2 is from 8:00 to 9:30 am, the 3rd session will focus on the needs of the female athlete and is offered from 9:30 to 11:00 am and the final session will be held from 3:30 until 5 pm. The camp will also be offering sport specific times this year, where students can come in and develop sport specific skills run by upperclassmen. The camp starts on June 13th. If you have any questions about the Agility Camp please call 715-453-2126.
Tomahawk Youth Soccer is in need of a new volunteer director (or co-directors) to run the summer program. Help and direction will be available to ensure the smooth transition of directors. TYS owns everything needed for the upcoming season and more. Insurance is up-to-date for this upcoming season.
Some volunteer director responsibilities include: disturbing and collecting completed registration forms and payments, forming teams, painting field lines, netting goals, running concessions, and balancing the checkbook. Most responsibilities can be overseen by a number of volunteers.
If you, or you and a friend/spouse, are interested, please contact Jenny Symonds at 715-612-1461 or email email@example.com
