Empty Bowls Soup Fundraiser Published on 02/17/2017 under News The Tomahawk community will host a special soup event with the proceeds going for a good cause.

It's the second annual Empty Bowls event. This year six restaurants are competing to win the title of the Golden Ladle. A panel of local judges and a public vote will determine the winner.

While the Golden Ladle is on the line, the real reason for the event is the fundraiser. Proceeds from tomorrow's event will go towards the Our Sister's House homeless Shelter. The facility opened in the fall of 2015 and has provided nearly 2,000 bed nights.

The $10 meal will come with a hand painted bowl. For those who do not want the bowl, they will accept a good will donation.

The benefit is tomorrow (Saturday) from 4:30-6:30pm at the Corpus Christi Center in Tomahawk.
