Lincoln County's funded snowmobile trails (County Administrated Trails) in Zone 2, Zone 3, and Zone 4 will OPEN at 4:00 pm Friday, February 27, 2026. Trails in Zone 1 and the Hiawatha Trail remain open.
• Trails in Zone 1: are good condition overall, potential scattered bare spots especially along roadsides. Better trail conditions exist in forested areas.
• Trails in Zones 2, 3 & 4: are in Fair to Good condition. Expect better riding conditions in forested areas and rough stretches, icy stretches with minimal snow cover and, potential scattered bare spots in open farm fields and roadsides. Trails are be described as "early season." Use caution.
• Zone 2: F Trail between intersections 56 & 57 is closed for the season.
Riders are urged to follow all "TRAIL CLOSED" signs, stay on marked routes, and respect private property. Our trail system exists thanks to the generosity of local landowners, and your cooperation helps keep these trails open for everyone to enjoy.
Local snowmobile clubs remind riders to stay off lakes and rivers unless a trail has been clearly marked by a club.
The trails in Price County are reported to be open and in good to fair condition. The trails have about a 2" to 4" base.
The trails in Vilas and Oneida Counties remain open. Trails are in fair to good condition, depending on location. Some clubs have ceased grooming because of the warm-up.
Langlade County trails in Zone A and Zone B are closed.
